Charman Driver’s life overflows with tales of women: her mother, grandmother, aunts, sisters, teachers, friends, and many more women she’s never met but only read about. Inspiration comes to her from all over, but she is from a family that is predominately female, so she naturally and purposely looks to women for motivation. Her ability to navigate relationships with women began early in life.  She longs for their stories to make sense of the world. When she had the audacity to tell her story of growing up in a home with an abusive father (who she eventually forgave) and a battered mother (who saved the lives of her and her sister from repeating the cycle of abuse), it was freeing. She now has the self-confidence to tell her story.

For more than 20 years, Charman has motivated and encouraged numerous women to enhance their quality of life through healthy and healing behaviors. She is a multi-certified Pilates instructor, a Duke-certified integrative health coach, a women-only boot camp instructor, a community builder and arts advocate, a writer, and a business owner.

“Women often ask me how I do it “all”, as if there’s some magic behind it. I nourish my body with wholesome foods, I empower myself to be my own best advocate, I shape my body through movement, and I transform my mind by being curious, open and connecting with others. From the depths of my being, I believe that we all have the social responsibility to take care of ourselves in order to be healthy and productive citizens who are able to take care of others, love one another, and change the world.” — Charman Driver
